Actually it is to honor William of Ockham (Or Occam). Today Anglicans keep the memory of this medieval Franciscan, famous for the principle called "Occam's razor" or "principle of parsimony" -- Among competing hypotheses, the one with the fewest assumptions should be selected.
This is often understood to mean that the least complicated explanation for something is most likely the correct one.

As a Musical Theater Queen, i went Sweeney Todd, too, but I like the Occam's Razor thought as weel.
