How sweet of you! This is a photo of the Alcázar de Segovia, a castle that is within sight of the Discalced Carmelite monastery in Segovia where John of the Cross was once prior and where his tomb is located. I spent some time there (the monastery, that is) back in 1978. Awesome! Also one of the castles that inspired the design for Disney's Cinderella castle.
Speaking of far off places....I just re-read Except For His Wings over the weekend. I told you it would be on my Time & Time Again list.
