Sunday evening

Just wanted to report in quickly that my throat, though still a bit scratchy, is much better. Tom is feeling a bit low energy, which is how this thing started with me, but so far he isn't coughing away. 

In spite of things, I got out for a couple of short walks in the warmth. It is amazing how warm a sunny day of 44 (6.7 C) can seem after a long stretch of cold, cold, cold. This coming week it will not even dip below freezing most nights. Last week we were still going below zero (-18C) almost every night.

We had no big snowfalls this winter, but all the small snows had no time to begin melting until today. We expect the warmer days all week will clear most of the snow away, and Tom plans to get back outside cutting wood next weekend. I plan to go out and wander around looking at all he has accomplished.
