Happy Feast of St. Teresa of Avila

Although a great mystical writer, St. Teresa is perhaps most popularly known for something she may hot have composed herself. After her death, a few lines were found in her handwriting on a scrap of paper she was using as a bookmark. It is a good reflection to begin and end one's day.

Let nothing disturb you;
Let nothing frighten you.
All things are passing.
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things.
Nothing is wanting to one who possesses God.
God alone suffices.

It is beautiful countryside. Even my Texas family admitted that when they visited.
