Serious answer? I think they were appropriate in the days when men wore ties to work and/or church. You don't need to know size or anything. Those days, of course are long gone in most places.
Silly answer? It was easy to make jokes about the tasteless ties the kids picked out.
As for these particular ties, there happened to be exactly the right number of ties on this clip art for the number of names I had.
I still wear ties to work. I am in fact noted for my ties (mostly cartoonish, seasonal or otherwise unusual) and happily get ties as gifts.
My dad has the most inappropriate ties. :-) But I'm sure you could already guess that one.
Brinkley got Vince 2 new suits, one Ralph Lauren & one Calvin Klein. His weight loss was too much to tailer his others so we just bought 2 new.
I gave my dad a massive Texas seal in metal that is framed. Its super nice. They hung it over their fire place. It was so nice I counted it as my mom's mothers day gift & my dad's fathers day gift.
BTW, you have a Thank You card on the way to you & Tom!
