And some days things happen...Today I got an e-mail from a literary agent who has looked at my mystery novel and wants to represent me. Tom, Helen and I will review the contract tonight and most likely I will sign it. This means someone will actually be working actively to find a publisher for the book. Also good news is that legitimate agents don't really make any money off of you unless they sell your book. So no upfront investment or anything like that.
So say a prayer. Even if she were to find a publisher quickly it would be some time before it ever appeared, but with a literary agent under contract, I will feel like a real writer.
