Birds

It was wet and cold when we got up this morning, and the temperature is supposed to drop to near-freezing tonight. So Tom switched on the furnace.

Nothing.

He tried a few things, all to no avail. So he called up the heating people and someone came around noon.

The problem? A bird had come down a pipe and got stuck in the blower somehow. Tom was marveling and said that this must be rare.

The heating guy says it happens all the time.

I am happy to report that the avian corpse has been removed and we now have heat. We will no doubt survive.

Just another one of the joys of Wisconsin country living.
