Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy

The fall invasion of mice into the house has begun, or else the fall hunting season for mice to be brought into the house and released, played with and/or half-devoured.

It's all fun and games until someone loses her head.

And I have to pick up the remnants from the dining room carpet in the morning.

What a wonderful way to wake up in the morning! Are the cats having a field day with all of the mice? How often does this happen?

At certain times -- and it does seem to be a seasonal change or major weather change thing -- this can happen on a daily basis for about a week. My one consolation is that the cats don't bring mice or mouse parts into my bed when they crawl in with me in the morning. Mama and Daddy once had a cat who brought baby moles (I think? Something, anyway) into their bed to play with until they (the baby animals, not Mama and Daddy) died.
