The name Litha for the summer solstice celebration is apparently not well-attested, although some say it derives from Saxon traditions. At any rate, may the Light of Lights be yours this day, and may the light within you shine on all around you.
For those of you in the southern hemisphere, may the Light of Lights shine in your hearts as well, and may you be light and warmth in the time of Yule.
I confess to being confused by this being called both mid-summer and the beginning of summer. But a foolish consistency robs life of its mystery and fun.

Allergies had me spending the solstice in bed, but I did enjoy the summer light through the window.
