A fire broke out this morning at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago, but it was put out before spreading to other buildings or doing too much damage, according to early reports.The 134-year-old cathedral is a couple of blocks from where I worked in downtown Chicago, and I sometimes went to Mass there. I used to walk by it almost every day.
A year or so back, the Catholic cathedral in Madison caught fire -- apparently arson -- and it was so severely damaged that they are having to tear it down and rebuild.
