In my earlier post about the Hummingbird Moth, I was able to post a photo but the video segment I tried to show failed. So here is another attempt to give you an idea of how much like a hummingbird this little critter is. Remember that this thing is maybe an inch or an inch-and-a-half long. The one I mentioned before was visiting the Gayfeathers in the front -- we have purple ones and white ones. The past few days we have seen several in the back, visiting the purple wild asters outside my bedroom window and on the east side of the deck. Definitely a color theme here.
