September plans

Right after Labor Day, we intend to take the longest of our historical-sites trips, up to see Madeline Island in Lake Superior. Although there are places to stay on the island itself, the options are very limited. So we will stay on the mainland and take the ferry over to the island for one day. This morning I made arrangements to stay in Pine Point Cottage, described as
"a quiet and comfortable home, located just a few miles south of Bayfield, WI on one of the highest nearby points of Lake Superior shoreline. Views of Chequamegon Bay and several of the Apostle Islands from the property are spectacular. Natural wood and stone accents inside and out are focal points for this lovely lakeside home. Pine Point Cottage offers a fully equipped kitchen, living and recreational rooms, and three comfortable bedrooms, all with direct views of Lake Superior. Relax on the decks and enjoy the lake views in a serene wooded setting."

We will have the house and two acres all to ourselves. Looking good!
