Thanks for your concern. I eat the old-person's egg Benedict -- one poached egg (egg substitute when I make my own) with Canadian bacon on half a muffin -- no American bacon, no pork sausage, no additional toast -- and fresh fruit.
Michael, the sight of the breakfast "killer" made me too extreme in my comment. You can eat what you want. As to breakfast, my wife and I have "downsized," nowadays sharing a Costco roll and each having a bowl of pellet bran with low fat yogurt and some type of fruit (plus coffee for me of course).

At your age that's exactly what you should NEVER eat. The number of calories involved, plus the fats, is horrendous.

In the monastery for years I ate Fiber One for breakfast. My novices called it "Colon Blast."
