Readings

A friend recently offered to do tarot readings for those who were interested, and I happily agreed, waiting anxiously to see what the cards might portend. Then last night he emailed me the results.

Only he sent me two emails, each with a different reading.

What did this mean? Was I to choose between them? Did this mean I am coming to a fork in the road and each reading represents what might happen depending on which path I take?

Or are they both in play in some way? Maybe one refers more to the inner journey and the other to external events. Or one has more to do with finances (always a yuck!) and the other with health.

Is my friend toying with me? Or maybe it was just a slip of the Send button and only one is mine.

This last is what the friend thinks happened and he is checking his extensive records (Akashic, I'm sure) to see how I should proceed.

But I asked him, are there any accidents in this sort of thing? Since it is all (sorry if this disappoints) mostly a matter of projection, a sort of Rorshach test, what ultimately matters is less what is in the cards than what is in the way I understand the cards, or the way I understand what my friend -- with more insight and experience in these matters -- has understood and attempted to convey to me.

Perhaps I am just the Fool.

If you look closely at this Fool card -- click on it to make it larger -- you will see that the Fool in the card has a Whole Foods bag on his staff. Does this mean I am to choose the whole thing, both readings and not just one?

I must admit I did not see the Whole Foods bag when I selected this version of the Fool from the many I found online.

It must mean something, right?

I wonder if you got mine ... I am sitting on pins-and-needles-and-tenterhooks awaiting guidance with a pesky problem

The good doctor was going to go back and see what happened. If you don't hear from him, you might want to let him know that you are still waiting ...

I still don't know what happened; I was trying so hard to keep things in order
But with Wicked Pack of Cards there are no slips or coincidences.
I still advice combining them into one, a sort of Ariadne auf Naxos.

I followed the good doctor's suggestion and found the readings quite appropriate to the two major things happening in my life at the moment: moving to Madison and NaNoWriMo.

I will let you google Ariadne auf Naxos for yourself!

You are correct Ur-spo...There are no accidents...The spirits are trying to get a message out.

I should get a reading done. I havent had one done in about a year and a half now.
