This will be my eldest son in a year or two. He has had a mobile phone for a bit over a month. Since then he has worked out how to turn on the aircon, dvd player and tv with his phone - using it as a remote. Especially impressive because it involved converting our "dumb" tv into a smart one (using raspberry pi and makey makey). His favourite colour is currently purple. Kato PS I still haven't got around to changing the email address on my Google account to my own.
Mitchell, The funny quote on BrainyQuote this morning is from Groucho Marx: "A child of five would understand this. Someone fetch a child of five."
When my work at the library included helping people learn how to use their e-readers or tablets, I often told them -- half-seriously -- that if they got confused, they could ask any child for assistance. Even if the kid had never seen the device before and knew nothing about it, that kid would have it figured out faster than the adult could dial the library number and ask for me.
My 4 year old granddaughter got her own tablet for Christmas because she kept pilfering her mama's to call and talk to me on SKYPE....while her mom was busy making breakfast and getting the boys off to school. Daughter said she would hear Alyssa talking in her room but assumed she was talking to her dolls...or herself which she does if no one else is around to listen to her. 30 mins later she would find Alyssa curled up on her bed with her bunny talking away to Nana, who was on her lunch hour at work. Julie finally ended up putting her tablet on lockscreen and asking Santa to bring Alyssa her own for Christmas.

We need Kato's son to come to our house and convert our SMART TV into a SMART TV. We can't even figure THAT out.
