Does it bother you more to discover that someone you thought was admirable had done something pretty bad, or to discover that someone you thought was despicable had done something really great?
It concerns me that I tend to be more upset to discover that someone I thought bad has done good than the other way around.
Why do you suppose that is?

We all like simple black/white not complexities especially in people.
I reckon it means you are better at seeing the good in people than the bad. You probably spend more time reaching a negative conclusion than a positive one. So when you have judged someone harshly and then learnt they have done something great you may have made a bigger personal error of judgement. We are more attached to our opinions we've spent more time pondering.
Or maybe I'm revealing more about me than you.
