The streets of Jackson, Miss., apparently have potholes that rival the
worst in the country, but without adequate budget to fix them, according
to Mayor Tony Yarber. His remedy, offered earnestly to constituents in
August: prayer. “I believe we can pray potholes away.” (Yarber,
elected in 2014, was pastor and founder of the Relevant Empowerment Church.)

I suppose that means there are any number of things, people and events we can pray away.
This approach to caring for the infrastructure does not strike me as being in tune with eternal verities, although it does fit some political points of view as well as some religious ones.

I suspect Heaven must feel some sort of frustration or negative emotion when people are using prayer as a sort of conceriege to come fix this and that.
