Cleaning, cleaning, cleaning
We (especially Tom) put in a full day's work cleaning house. We have guests coming this weekend and next weekend, and we always want to clean up for that. But we put in overtime today. Two reasons: one, we realize we need to start getting the house in decent shape to show-and-sell in a matter of a weeks, and each cleaning needs to be more complete than a passing wipe with dust cloth; two, one interested party is planning to come look at the house Sunday afternoon or soon thereafter. She lives on a nearby farm and will not expect the house to be spotless, but we do want to show it to its best advantage.
Tom is now cleaning up his half of the basement -- shop and storage. I need to start cooking dinner: chicken fajita salad.
After dinner we will have to make a supermarket run to lay in supplies for Sunday breakfast and some things that will make do for lunch tomorrow, in case they arrive early.
Tomorrow morning Tom will work at the little railroad for a while and I have a NaNoWriMo session at the library. And I want to get the floors mopped before I leave and while Tom is out of the house.
Busy, busy, busy.
