Helen and sorting

Helen arrived late morning and after lunch accompanied Tom to Baraboo so he could sign a contract with the realtor who will handle to sale of the house. This is the same realtor who is already handling the sale of our adjacent acreage. I stayed behind because we were expecting someone to call and come by to pick up some papers. As it happened, he called but was unable to get the things today. He hopes to drop by tomorrow, and I will hang around again in case he shows up. Helen and Tom plan to go on the Fall Art Tour. The third full weekend each October, some of Wisconsin's best-known artisans open their studios, allowing visitors a unique, behind-the-scenes view into how their work is created. Tom and I have gone several times and Helen also went last year. She timed her visit to coincide with the tour this fall as well.

But that is tomorrow. When they got back from the realtor today, they started sorting through family photos, Christmas ornaments and the like to see what she might like to keep, what she thought some of the kids might want and so on. So now there are five bins of Christmas decorations to add to the St. Vinnie's pile, to which I also contributed some more clothes and odds and ends, as well as more books for the library.

Change moves on.
