One way, or so I have heard, to rid yourself of an earworm -- that is the term for those songs or fragments of songs that get stuck in your head -- is to sing the song all the way through. So I looked up the lyrics, and along the way I found this genderbent version on YouTube:

As I listened to this version, I sensed that it was in my head because it is time to let go of this phase of my life, of our life in the Dells and in this lovely home. Even the ice and snow theme fits -- we will be moving in a Wisconsin December and January! Fortunately, it will not be a kingdom of isolation for me.
The snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation,
And it looks like I'm the king.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside
Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows I tried!
Don't let them in, don't let them see
Be the good guy you always have to be
Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know
Well, now they know!
Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door!
I don't care
What they're going to say
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway!
It's funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Can't get to me at all!
It's time to see what I can do
To test the limits and break through
No right, no wrong, no rules for me I'm free!
Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You'll never see me cry!
Here I stand
And here I'll stay
Let the storm rage on!
My power flurries through the air into the ground
My soul is spiraling in frozen fractals all around
And one thought crystallizes like an icy blast
I'm never going back,
The past is in the past!
Let it go, let it go
And I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect guy is gone!
Here I stand
In the light of day
Let the storm rage on,
The cold never bothered me anyway!
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation,
And it looks like I'm the king.
The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside

I have never seen the movie either. About a year ago the radio played the song so often at work I had to close my office door to escape the darned thing.
I have seen the movie, several times, and enjoyed it. It’s one of Disney’s best animated films in a long time, and the song has tormented parents whose children dream of being Princes Elsa every day. I’ve enjoyed the song, in it’s original version, and played it enough times to imprint it on my mind, but it’s been a while since I’ve heard it on the radio. Until now…this new version, well, rocks. And the gender bender video is actually quite good. Mixing Japanese style animations with Disney inspired background…kudos to who ever put it together. Now, about the feature version of the clip….where would I find it? LOL
I hardly ever listen to music on the radio or any other devices. My tendency to catch ohrwurms is too great! Even when it is a song that I liked, the incessant musical muttering in my head soon robs it of any beauty.
I have seen this movie. Probably 40 times. Hahaha! Every parent with a kid 2-8 years old rolls their eyes every time they hear that song. Hahaha!
