The vehicles of Bremen

You may be familiar with the folk tale about the four musicians of Bremen:
A donkey, a dog, a cat, and a rooster (or hen), all past their prime years in life and usefulness on their respective farms, were soon to be discarded or mistreated by their masters. One by one they leave their homes and set out together. They decide to go to Bremen, known for its freedom, to live without owners and become musicians there.
Things progress from there, but the main point is that at a certain point the animals stand on one another's backs and make a tremendous racket to frighten a group of thieves.

This came to mind this morning when I went to Home Depot to pick up some cleaning supplies. As I passed the Walmart parking lot, I saw an enormous land yacht -- AKA motorhome AKA RV -- which is not an unusual sight in our tourist-oriented area. What caught my eye, however, was that this particular vehicle, maybe the size of an average school bus, was towing an extended cab pickup truck. In the bed of the pickup truck sat a golf cart. Strapped to the side of the golf cart was a tandem bicycle, AKA a bicycle built for two.

Seriously? I thought. No partridge in a pear tree?
