Our house, is a very, very, very fine house with two cats in the yard ...

We have a lovely home, but it is hard to get a good picture of it. My favorite is this one Tom took one winter morning a few years ago when he was outside early putting the garbage out for pickup. He calls it Winter Nocturne, and we have used it for our Christmas card:

We have eleven acres, mostly wooded. It is a ten-year-old three-bedroom house with two baths; open floor plan that we have divided up into dining, living and library areas; a den that Tom uses as his office; kitchen with small pantry; deck; basement with shop, storage spaces with shelves, studio for Tom's art and office for my writing, and a family entertainment center space. It is wired for cable and fiber optic internet. It is quite fine. And we do have two cats.

We already have someone interested in taking it, and this afternoon she came by for a closer inspection. The place is not listed yet, but it is nice that people are already showing interest. It all looks promising. For tax reasons, the sale of the house and the sale of the additional acreage adjacent to the house will not take place until after the first of the year. But it would be nice if that could all happen at more or less the same time. I may be hoping for too much, but we will see.

I dream of having some acreage. I wish I could buy it - two cats otherwise.
